This is a medium to strong hold gel for sensitive skin and noses. No humectants, it does have emollients including PEG-modified silicone (water-soluble). The gel is very thick, very sticky and molds waves and curls for good definition, shine and hold. It is on the heavier side, so may be best mixed with or layered over something light to avoid weighing hair down. I didn't have too much of a problem with it weighing down my fine waves and curls - usually used with flaxseed gel or Kiss My Face Upper Management. Rinses out well - but take your time rinsing.
