  1. I have 2b, 2c hair, which is fine, thick and porous, but limp and needs volume. I get good results with this product if I use a gel along with it to hold the curl enhancing properties, which this product delivers. I apply it after my leave in, on sopping wet hair, add some gel, and scrunch like crazy before scrunching in an old t-shirt. Then I diffuse because my hair takes soooo long to air dry. I get good and lasting definition of waves and, yes, even some curls, which in winter is a miracle! I really like this stuff. I have only been using it for a couple of weeks, so I an still learning with it.

  2. This product tightens my 2c-3a dry porous curls and creates more ringlets. I use it the same way kurlykali above does, over a LI and under a gel. If I use it fir too many washes in a row, I notice that my hair is a bit dry, but bounces back easily with some oil on the ends.

  3. I do not think this product really adds much curl definition to my hair, but it is holy grail status for frizz control for my fine 2b hair. I rake in about a quarter size amount after my leave-in, and squish in some water to help form curls. Sometimes I plop and do not apply anything else, other times I'll apply a gel over, other times I'll apply a curl cream and a gel. Recoil works with everything I've tried and easily reactivates with just water for 2nd+ day hair.

  4. My hair reacts (curl enhancing) very well to this when styling, but has a tendency to leave me too soft and limp- even when topped with a hard hold gel. I repurchase it though, so that says something!
