Camille Rose Whipped Aloe Butter Gel

  1. LOVE it! This is my Holy Grail! I love, love, love, love, love it to bliss. And here is why: It reliably(!) gives me frizz-free, tangle-free, touchably SOFT hair. If you like crunch, this isn't for you. But if you, like me, think "if you can't touch your hair, why have it?" you simply HAVE to take this for a test drive. The smell, btw, is divine; it sniffs like birthday cake batter. The scent (for better or worse) doesn't linger on the hair, though. It leaves just a hint of vanilla-ish-ness. Personally, I use this as or after a leave-in. Usually with a gel or gellee (or both) over. It's more of a curl maker than a curl keeper; so, personally, I need a harder hold gel over it if I want curl past day two. It should also be noted that this contains several oils, including castor oil (which is a heavier one). The consistency is not sticky; it's light and creamy (kind of like homemade whipped cream). It gives me good, reliable curl (spirals, nut just waves) but is probably not the product that gives me the "tightest" curl--it does however bring out the healthiest curl. Results are consistent. It also gives me fluffy body, and even with the oils in this, I can usually get 4 or 5 day hair. It has paired well with Kinky Curly Products and with Camille Rose Curl Maker (which I also LOVE). (A little goes a long way; I use about twice the amount of this as I used of SM smoothie.) I hope that helps!!! My hair is near waist length, thick-ish, fine/mixed-textured, dark, and 3b-ish. I give it One Million Stars and a big red heart!

  2. Um, typo alert! My hair is actually 2b-3a. 3A in the right product and humidity. ;)
