My hair has a love/hate relationship with this product. I do find it enhancing, and it can really boing up my waves and curls, but the glycerin and mag sulfate are drying and frizz causing over time. I suppose if I wasn't going for second or third day hair, I might be alright using it regularly. It works better for me when I mixit with straight condish, half and half. That reduces the dryness and frizz for me, I think. I don't think I get oily look or anything even though my hair is fine. Maybe it's because I'm porous?
Fia - fine/medium, ii/iii, normal porosity and elasticy, 2a waves.
I do not like this. I've tried it multiple times and had bad hair every time. I've tried in conjunction with the other JC products (CCSS) and with gels and I always end up with a super frizzy mess with oily looking ends. I dont notice any curl enhancing. I also really dislike how watery it is. Its difficult for me to know if I've applied enough. I would not repurchase this.
Well, after lots of playing, I might have found a way to make this work for me. I put it in a spray bottle and add water. I use a 1:3 ratio of RR to water. After my shower I blot my hair, then I spray this on until its dripping again. Then I go ahead and apply the rest of my products. I've been getting pretty good results this way, though I dont think its as curl enhancing for me as it promises. I will keep experimenting with it, but I dont think I would repurchase, because there are things that work better for me.
Gives me shine and gentle body. My only problem is I have had it spoil quite quickly twice. Others don't seem to have this issue. I find it quite equivalent to Curl Junkie Curls in a Bottle. So it wins on scent but I am very disappointed on life of product once opened. But like I said that seems to be only me for some reason.
The same thing has happened to me many, many times. It works for me when it is new, but spoils too quickly. I have thrown away many unfinished bottles and am disappointed by the waste. I would switch if I could find an equivalent product that doesn't do this!!
