While this product is known to have somewhat of a learning curve (it's notorious for taking a few tries to figure out how to make it work best), I was lucky that it seemed to work really well with my hair. It doesn't have much hold, but it promotes a lot of clumps and enhances my waves. I've found it works pretty well in both the summer and the winter, and it gives me very pretty waves.

I agree that this product does have a learning curve. But it's one of my go-to curl enhancers, now that I've figured out how to best use it. For me, I get the best results by scrunching a small amount (I just dip 2 fingers into the jar and then spread that thinly over my hands) into dripping wet hair. The more I scrunch, the better the results seem to be. KCCC enhances my curls and promotes clumping, just as Kimmidawn said. I also agree it doesn't have much hold, and I always top it with BRHG. It doesn't have any strong humectants which is also a plus (for me).

  3. My hair is 2c verging on 3a in spots, fine, and thick. My first attempt with this did not give good results but now it is a go-to product for me. Mostly it seems to improve clumping and amazingly it doesn't weigh my hair down--I can get 4 days without even re-wetting my hair.

  4. Hair: 2b-c, fine, dense, low/normal porosity

KCCC gave me good curl definition at first, but after repeated use with KCKT, my waves became way too soft. I'm working on ways to use this without getting this result because it made the curls nice at first.

This is a holy grail product for me and I use it regardless of what other products I'm using. It does have a bit of a learning curve, but once you figure it out, it's great. I don't like the tub it comes in, so I transferred it to a pump bottle. I use it over KCKT and under a hard hold gel. It gives great curl enhancement, clumps, and shine, though it doesn't have enough hold to stand on it's own.

  6. This is a HG on my 2c wavy whirly medium-coarse hair. It gives me amazing clumps and is very curl enhancing. Plus I love that all ingredients are natural. I don't need a lot (3 pea-sized dabs, one for each side and one upside down) and I don't need to use any other products with it since it gives good hold and is very moisturizing. I do get crunch which I scrunch out with the Kinky-Curly Gloss Pomade. It leaves my hair soft and touchable. The only downside is the long drying time!

  7. This was one of the first products to work in my hair. It's expensive and flax seed gel works better than this. However, it's nice to have when I don't feel like mixing up a batch of FSG. My only gripe about this one is that it is HEAVILY scented (think vanilla cake.) I prefer floral fragrances, but other people seem to like the scent when I use it. Use with a light hand, though. This gel is deceiving. It dries to a nearly unbreakable hard hold if you use too much.
