I cannot tell you how much I LOVE this stuff. This makes my hair shiny and silky. I have healthy hair so my hair doesn't really absorb oils and butters. They tend to sit on top of my hair.

When I use coconut oil, for example, I have to use a strong (sulfate-free) surfactant to get it off my hair, or else I look like I went for a swim in the Deepwater Horizon oil spill. My hair looks dark, oily and it sticks together and just looks dirty.

With this conditioner it seems like I get a very thin coating on my hair that seals in the moisture. It isn't heavy and it doesn't make my hair dark or dirty-looking. I used it as a DT (mixed with Jessicurl Deep Conditioner) and I didn't need to condition my hair (other than co-washing) for the next 4 days. I don't know if this is because of the Shea or the Argan oil, but this is a "holy grail" product for me. I want to marry it.

If you have dry/damaged hair, you might not see the same result I had right away. Your hair may drink it all up. If your hair is porous, you might be able to super-soak this as a leave-in.

No matter what your hair type, RUN, don't walk, and get yourself some of this.

  3. I would highly recommend this conditioner. I have used it as a rinse-out, leave-in, and to scrunch out the crunch. It also works as a deep treatment. Its not just for damaged hair.

My hair is 2c, normal porosity, normal elasticity, medium density, medium strands, and protein-loving.

  4. I love this stuff. I have just bought some lighter conditioners to play with, but this is so good. I have 2c-ish hair with normal porosity and not damaged, medium strand thickness. I have used this to cleanse, to condition, and to leave a bit in. Smells yummy, too. And I love that it's all natural. That's what I want most: natural and nontoxic. I do think I need to experiment more with how much of a conditioner I leave in my hair. I'm still kind of new to this. :)

  5. Love this stuff. So versatile. I often use it as a leave-in, but in the summer and fall it's great to add some honey to it and use it as a rinse-out conditioner. The honey makes it nice and slippery.

  6. I always keep this around, but don't use it to terribly often. My hair likes it as a 2nd day refresher.
