It will even lather up if you use enough water. I prefer this as a protein treatment to a conditioner. It's not the best PT I've ever used, but it's not the worst. For the price, it works.
This is kind of weird stuff. Mine didn't have an orange creamsicle scent, more of a cherry almond- like jergens lotion. It looks like a moisturizing hand soap and suds quite a bit. In fact, on the day that I use it, every product I use after it lathers (after rinsing). However, it makes a nice lazy, quick protein treatment. Follow with a true rinse-out.
