I tried this gel as a budget alternative to Deva Angell. It has a thinner consistency than most gels but is thicker than Angell. The scent is light and "clean". This gel gave me good hold and frizz control; it gave me OK clumps.*It should be noted that I am a clump floozy.* I layered this gel over several different conditioners and other products and it played nice with all of them and never gave me any flakes. All in all, this is a decent budget gel. It doesn't make my HG list, but I would defiantly recommend this gel if you are looking for a budget friendly alternative to Angell.

Hold Scale: 2-3/4 I guess it's been a while since I've tried it.

My hair isn't completely fond of this in higher dew points, but it seemed to give me OK frizz control in dew points 30-40F. I had better results with it when I put it over another gel, like LA Looks Power Spike (strong hold, no glycerin). It tends to give me smaller clumps, but good curl enhancement. All in all, I wouldn't repurchase it. It seemed like the stars had to be in alignment in order for it to work well for me.
